ARTIST

Born in Granby, Quebec, in 1939, Renee duRocher attended the «Ecole des Beaux-Arts» of Montreal from 1958 to 1960. Then she obtained degrees in plastic arts at the UQAM (Quebec University in Montreal). As a modern figurative painter, Renee duRocher took part to many exhibitions in Canada and the United States, in cities such as Toronto, New York and Montreal (Place des Arts). Many of her paintings are in important collections such as Alcan and Lavalin. Renee duRocher's paintings are a dialogue between life and art. They vibrate with an intensity due to the splendor of her palette.
