Helene Corriveau was born in Montmagny in 1953. Since her childhood, she always demonstrated a strong taste for the arts. In 1974, she obtained degrees in plastic arts from the Cegep of Sainte-Foy. In 1979, she graduated in Marketing and Communications from the Laval University in Sainte-Foy, Quebec. Then she studied jewellery during a stay in London, U.K., in 1976. Back in Canada, she learned the stained-glass techniques at the Laval University in Sainte-Foy, Quebec. After her studies, Helene Corriveau has worked in marketing but she decided to devote herself entirely to painting in 1984.
