ARTIST

Michel Lancelot was born on March 5th, 1945, in France. He lives in Quebec since 1967. After he had studied Visual Arts (etching) at the «Université du Quebec» in Montreal, he graduated from the Institute for Applied Arts of Montreal in 1969 and he obtained a Degree in Plastic Arts from the CEGEP of «Vieux Montreal» in 1971. Far from traditional engraving, the art of Michel lancelot is more of a monotype that combines, amongst other techniques, etching, dry-point, collages and ink.
