Born in 1943 in the Matapedia Valley (Quebec, Canada), Anne-Marie Bost is a self-taught painter whose works combine the unpredictable and the authentic to produce, time and again, a message that is always hers. She has lived for several years in Canada's Far North, where she was first introduced to Inuit and Indian Arts. After travelling in Europe, she decided to devote herself entirely to painting in 1979. Her paintings are part of the collections of the Paris (France) 'Musée de l'Art Naïf', the Sherbrooke (Quebec) Museum of Art and the Canadian Bank of Works of Art. A painter of the childlike mind and sense of wonder, she compels our attention with a realism that blends poetry, peace, order and harmony.
