Bernard McCabe
1925-2003. Born in Quebec, Bernard McCabe always considered drawing as his favourite activity. From 1977, he worked in pastels then he went to oils after joining the Société artistique de Charlesbourg. After 32 years with the Canadian Pacific Railway, he would devote all his energy and time to painting after retirement in 1982. Winner of many Prizes, Bernard McCabe would see twelve of his canvasses selected and given to the 1984 Jeux du Québec guests of honour. In 1991, the Quebec Nordiques gave one of his creations to Guy Lafleur at his retirement.
